The Ewood Labour team support and attend the local community Associations. They hold regular monthly surgeries, organise on street ward surgeries, and support a monthly breakfast club at Livesey All Age Centre and Monthly Lunch group at Ewood Park.

Councillor Maureen Bateson
Maureen has been a Councillor for many years holding various roles on the Council; currently she is the Executive Member for Children’s Services. She actively support the management and activities at Ivy Street centre, Ewood Community Association and two over 50’s Lunch groups at Ewood and Livesey. Maureen is a member of the Health and Wellbeing board, Children’s Safeguarding Board, a Trustee at Blackburn Rovers Community Trust and a Rovers season ticket holder. She is also a member of Unite and a known fighter for people’s rights.

Jim was born in Blackburn and lives and works here. He is a former Royal Navy serviceman of more than ten years, a UNITE member and branch secretary for over fifteen years. He is proud to serve the Ewood ward and his priorities are crime and anti social, behaviour, fly tipping, Investment opportunities/Job creation, Social isolation/exclusion.
