The Ewood Labour team support and attend the local community Associations. They hold regular monthly surgeries, organise on street ward surgeries, and support a monthly breakfast club at Livesey All Age Centre and Monthly Lunch group at Ewood Park.

Jamie Groves has been Councillor for the Ewood ward since 2012. He has also been the assistant executive member for regeneration since 2014, working as part of the team that delivered the new ‘Alan Shearer Way ‘, the fantastic ‘Cathedral Quarter’ development in the town centre and the continuing improvement in Blackburn’s night time economy.

Councillor Maureen Bateson
Maureen has been a Councillor for many years holding various roles on the Council; currently she is the Executive Member for Children’s Services. She actively support the management and activities at Ivy Street centre, Ewood Community Association and two over 50’s Lunch groups at Ewood and Livesey. Maureen is a member of the Health and Wellbeing board, Children’s Safeguarding Board, a Trustee at Blackburn Rovers Community Trust and a Rovers season ticket holder. She is also a member of Unite and a known fighter for people’s rights.
