Livesey with Pleasington currently has three Conservative Councillors, although Labour stands a candidate in each local election. The candidate in 2019 was Paul Mason.

Paul Mason

Paul has been active in the local community for many years. He is currently Chair of Blackburn with Darwen Community Council for Voluntary Services, which supports individuals in securing volunteer work – something which Paul is really passionate about. Amongst his other activities he is a lay member of Blackburn Cathedral and assists in the many services, functions and events that take place at the Cathedral. He is also involved with the Blackburn Business Investment District (BID) and has been delighted to play a part in the good work that is being done to promote Blackburn town centre and its economy. Prior to his retirement  he was employed by Blackburn College for many years, and worked in local government before that. Paul knows a number of residents in the Livesey with Pleasington ward and looks forward to hearing about local issues.

"Livesey with Pleasington is a large and varied ward, with urban and rural communities. My wide experience equips me well for representing residents interests." Paul Mason
