Councillor Sylvia Liddle
Sylvia has lived in Roe Lee Ward for over 10 years. She was born in Blackburn and has two grown-up children and a grand-daughter. Prior to her retirement, Sylvia was employed as a schools’ swimming teacher for 37 years. Sylvia represented Queens Park Ward from 1979 to 1988, was the Mayor of the old Borough of Blackburn 1987, and was formerly President of the Blackburn NASUWT branch.

Councillor Phil Riley
Phil has been the ward councillor for Roe Lee ward since 2011 and has lived on Pleckgate Road with his partner, Ann, for more than 30 years. Since 2022 Phil has been Leader of the Council for Blackburn with Darwen Council, and was Executive Member for Regeneration, he is proud of the changes that we have managed to make in the town centre with new shops, bars and restaurants.

Councillor Saj Ali
Saj has lived in Blackburn for the last 44 years, he went to Daisyfield Primary School and then to Pleckgate High, and also 2 years at Blackburn College. He now works at Transdev Bus Company and has been there for 22 years. He has worked along with Cllr Sylvia Liddle and Cllr Phil Riley in the Roe Lee Ward. For the past 4/5 years, they have helped the residents of Boxwood St, Cedar St and St James Rd.
